AAMC and Vizient Renew Joint Partnership to Advance Academic Medicine

IRVING, Texas

IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges) and Vizient are pleased to announce that they have recently renewed their partnership, which includes a commitment to both expand the capabilities of the Faculty Practice Solutions Center (FPSC) and develop new products and services together.

Through this partnership, they plan to continue to enhance and expand FPSC, which is a vital performance improvement tool for nearly 100 academic medical faculty practices, and bring this gold standard for faculty practice assessment to a broader audience in the community-based physician practice space. In addition, they plan to continue to develop products and services that meet the needs of the nation’s health care providers as they navigate a rapidly changing environment.

“We are very pleased to renew this partnership with Vizient,” said Darrell G. Kirch, MD, AAMC president and CEO. “For more than a decade, we have shared a commitment of service to the academic medicine community, and we understand the unique challenges faced by academic physicians and faculty practices. We look forward to continuing to work collaboratively on performance improvement projects as we have over the years.”

“The AAMC relationship is very important to Vizient and to our members,” said Curt Nonomaque, president and CEO, Vizient. “Building on the 17-year history of this relationship, the AAMC and Vizient have long worked together to advance the cause of academic medicine throughout the United States. And we are excited to share those learnings with our broader membership.”
