Vizient Releases First Annual Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Report

Company

IRVING, Texas, June 13, 2022 Vizient, Inc. today announced it has released its first annual DEI Report, highlighting Vizient's diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) strategy. The report details the company's DEI initiatives and how they are being used to ensure Vizient's culture is aligned with its core values through defined goals and key measures. The DEI report can be found here.

"Our inaugural diversity, equity and inclusion report offers insight into our areas of focus and how we're using this strategic framework to foster continuous improvement at Vizient," said Monica Davy, senior vice president, chief culture, diversity and inclusion officer. "By continuing to enrich our culture, we benefit from the diverse perspectives and innovative ideas brought forth by our employees to meet the evolving needs of our member health systems, suppliers and the healthcare industry in general."

"Be inclusive" is one of Vizient's core values and as part of that value, Vizient established three measurable goals to ensure continued meaningful cultural transformation.

  1. Enable a consistent and exceptional employee experience.
  2. Create a leader-led culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
  3. Develop a diverse workforce across all levels of the organization.

The success of the DEI strategy, which is the culmination of work that began with the creation of the chief inclusion and diversity advocate role in 2017, is measured using third party surveys as well as employee engagement and D&I indices that determine parity gaps across employee groups.

This year, Vizient earned a 95 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index, which assesses corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. In addition, using confidential employee surveys, Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine honored Vizient as one of the this 2022's 100 Best Companies to Work For.

"We're working to make these values a seamless part of our organization and an intrinsic part of the Vizient experience for our employees, members and suppliers," Davy said.
