Molly Zmuda
Molly leads the product team, development and execution of Vizient's data and digital product strategy for new markets, including: suppliers, distributers, service firms, non-governmental organizations, employers and payers. With internal and external partners, she advances and aligns Vizient’s comprehensive product portfolio to industry needs and opportunities, Vizient's managed services as well as customer goals and objectives.
Most recently, Molly led a team focused on the strategic alignment of spend management services with health system and supplier strategies through all areas of non-labor expense across the entire healthcare supply chain. Her scope included programs focused specifically on sustainability, supply assurance, price assurance and insights/intelligence.
Through Vizient Member Networks, Molly was previously responsible for connecting more than 320 provider organizations, including system-level executives and clinical leaders in supply chain and Vizient's Large Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) Supply Network (LISN), representing 20-25 of the nation's largest health systems and more than 500 acute care facilities, to share leading practices and data, and develop high-value solutions.
Molly's work in strategy and operations includes leveraging analytics and sourcing strategies to deliver an average of $27 million in recognized annual value to three healthcare organizations within the supply chain network she was responsible for. She also established the network's clinical leadership council, comprised of chief medical officers and supply chain executives, enabling collaboration of 40 physician leaders in clinical variation reduction.
In the provider sector, Molly was responsible for the clinical program development of a network of clinically integrated, enterprise-wide service line advancing full-continuum trauma/injury care across 900+ locations. Molly served as a co-investigator on a mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) clinical research study in partnership with clinical research teams and launched an original cross-continuum program evaluation strategy to demonstrate a positive impact on clinical process and outcome metrics through clinical guidelines. Her efforts inspired a North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services research initiative. Molly also developed trauma outreach strategies, including an mTBI feature during Super Bowl XLVII.
As a two-time grad of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Molly minored in English, received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and later completed her Master of Healthcare Administration. She now serves on the Next Generation Committee of the Board of UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School and a member of the 100 Women initiative.
