Facing rising costs for inpatient medications, pharmacy leaders at Ballad Health collaborated with Vizient to manage pharmacy spend. The team used Vizient Pharmacy Analytics to identify savings opportunities and the Novaplus Enhanced Supply Program to drive savings and ensure access to critical medications.

The health system also joined the Southern Strategic Souring Partners Pharmacy aggregation group and leveraged its dual-awarded biosimilar contracting methodology.
