Jason Sussman

Managing Director

Jason Sussman has provided planning and financial advisory services for healthcare providers and higher education institutions nationwide for more than 35 years. He is a leader in Kaufman Hall’s Strategic and Financial Planning practice, and author of Strategic Allocation and Management of Capital in Healthcare: A Guide to Decision Making.

Jason’s areas of expertise span strategic financial planning, capital allocation, mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and management software, and he provides a full range of management advisory services to colleges, universities, and healthcare providers. He has authored numerous articles for various industry periodicals, including University Business and eCampus News, and is a recipient of the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s Best Article Award. Jason also was a contributing author to the books Best Practice Financial Management: Six Key Concepts for Healthcare Leaders, Third Edition and The Financially Competitive Healthcare Organization.

Jason is a frequent presenter at national and regional industry events. He is a CPA, and received his M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting, with a specialization in Healthcare Management, from Northwestern University.
