Byron Jobe leads finance and accounting; information technology; marketing and strategic communications; offering strategy; development and innovation; mergers and acquisitions integration; and sales operations for Vizient™.
Prior to this position, Jobe was president of strategic growth, marketing and innovation. In this role, he led a team focused on externally-facing market strategies to enable growth and to provide an exceptional member experience. Before this, Jobe served as executive vice president of service and delivery for VHA. In that role, he managed the work groups and business units responsible for VHA Performance Services and VHA SupplyNetworks™ as well as knowledge and data services, strategy and product management. He also maintained executive oversight for one of VHA’s regional offices, VHA Southeast, and VHA-owned Provista, a supply contracting services company that serves both the health care and non-health care marketplaces. Prior to this position, Jobe served as area senior vice president, chief financial officer in 2008. Before this role, Jobe was group senior vice president in 2007.
Earlier in his career, Jobe worked for Healthvision, which provided web-based clinical solutions and services for regional health information organizations, physicians and hospitals nationwide. While serving as the chief financial officer at Healthvision, Jobe helped the company grow from its infancy in 1999 to a $20 million company in less than 24 months. In 2004, Jobe was promoted to the position of chief operating officer/chief financial officer for Healthvision. He was responsible for the company's business operations: finance; accounting; human resources; professional services; management information system operations; and software development functions. He also led the company on two acquisitions and one divestiture. Finally, he helped the company complete several rounds of debt and equity based financing which ultimately positioned the company for its merger with Quovadx Inc. in 2007.
Prior to joining Healthvision in 1999, Jobe worked for five years at VHA, first as a director in corporate planning and business development, and for the last three years as senior director overseeing finances and revenue for three business units.
Jobe earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Texas A&M University and he is a certified public accountant.
He also served on the board of management for the YMCA in Irving, Texas, and was recognized with the Sam Winstead Award for helping raise scholarship funds for under-privileged youth in the community.
